Boat Theft Prevention
Engrave valuable boating gear with the owner's driver's license number, photograph or videotape the inside and outside of the boat showing all installed equipment and additional gear carried. Keep a written inventory of the boat, trailer and equipment. List all electronics, outboard engines, and other gear by brand name, model and serial number; remove property from the boat after each boating trip, store the boat and trailer out of sight in a garage, storage shed or backyard. Secure the boat and trailer to a pole or tree with a strong lock and chain.

PWC Theft Prevention
PWC theft has been and continues to be a major problem. In many cases theft occurs when the opportunity presents itself. As a PWC owner/operator you should do everything possible to remove the opportunity. Never park on the beach with the lanyard plugged in. The lanyard is the key. Never plug it in until you are seated and ready to get underway. The lanyard should be removed when the PWC is not in use.
