Equipment Check

Follow written or mental checklists to make your upcoming ride safe and enjoyable.  Prepare a checklist or customize the ones which follow to meet your own state requirements and manufacturer’s recommendation.

You are responsible for having the required equipment aboard, even if you rent or borrow the PWC from someone else.  If you are stopped by a marine law enforcement official and a required item is not aboard, you get the ticket and pay the fine.
