Safety Matters
Do not operate a personal watercraft while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Use minimal speed in congested and dangerous areas and during adverse weather conditions. Stay away from others using the water, especially those with less maneuverability. Use courtesy and common sense when sharing waterways with other recreational users. Steer well clear of swimmers. Be alert - watch the traffic, watch the weather. Both can change radically and rapidly. Be sure you check local conditions and check for hazards before you begin your ride. If you are new to a particular area inquire from local authorities and/or marinas regarding hazards or special regulations. |
